And Now Mary Daly

So soon after the passing of Edward Schillebeecykx, we have now lost Mary Daly a pioneer feminist theologian who wrote groundbreaking books in the 80s and 90s. She was not my favorite feminist theologian. I resonated more with mutuality Trinitarians like Johnson, God image liberators like McFague, retrievalists like Schussler-Fiorenza, and critical theorists like Soelle. But Daly pushed the envelope and made it possible for these other great theologians to gain a hearing.

INISTS - whether female or male aby accidents of birth - HAVE ANY IDEA precisely HOW MUCH DAMAGE they have caused to destroying the US family structures in "the name of civl rights"!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND a reading of "The Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience" for a some- what 'contrarian view' from our Evangelical Christians, whether ordained and laity!

LEST WE FORGET = In his day, even Fr. MARTIN LUTHER had his critics - Whether before or after nailing his "95 Theses" to the door of The Castle Church in Wittenburg, Germany -- with the Protestant Reformation to soon follow, too!

The 'feminists' have been 'at it' now for five decades & the damage caused has been considerable IMO!
